HOW TO MAKE TOSTONES (Fried Plantains) Step 1:  Cut green plantains into small bite pieces and soak in water with a lil salt for a few minutes. Fry until golden brown. Approx 2-3 mins on each side. Step 2-3: Use a tostonera, small plate or the bottom of a glass to flatten the fried plantain.  Step 4: Bring it back to the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy. (Optional: You can soak it back in the water with salt before frying) Step 5: After frying, put it on a paper towel to absorb extra oil. Step 6: Serve hot and crispy. Best to eat it with crispy fried pork belly! Yummm! (Taken with instagram)
